Oral Histories: Fred Brantley and Downtown Mooresville

Fred Brantley worked at the movie theater downtown, and in his oral history filmed by Ann Brown, Mr. Brantley describes each business lining Downtown Mooresville's streets in the 50's. In the clip here, Mr. Brantley tells about the skills of Johnston Ice & Coal's delivery horses.

The Museum's Oral History project captures vivid memories of Mooresville events by residents who experienced them firsthand.

You can check out Fred Brantley's full Oral History at the Mooresville Public Library.
